Oni's (Miharu and me)

Ninja world.

"Kuro-tan~"
"Shut up!" Kurogane hated when that wizard gave him nicknames, he was always too cheery for his own good. We were in a forest filled with cherry blosoms. Just north of the area a dreaded path led to dead tree's and death. It was either take a deadly path for a shortcut or a harmless path but adding a two hour walk.
"How much farther is the feather?" I looked to find Mokana but she was no where. Then she popped out from behind my neck collar and jumped down pointing north with her hand. "Ummm." She paused. "I don't know."
"This is bullshit! Stupid white pork bun!"
"Kuro-pi, no language in front of the children!" Fai poked my cheek with a finger.
"Screw you guys. I'm going my own way." I yelled splitting off with them. It wasn't a good idea I was going alone but after 5 minutes of walking down my dark path, Syaoran showed up next to me to keep me company.
"I'll come with you. It's better that we don't lose you completely."
"Yeah, whatever." I groaned, my breath could be seen through the air whenever I talked. It was spring but still it was dropping temperature outside. In some parts of these woods there were dead plants and animals. I wasn't suppose to be killing aimlessly because of my curse, but I really wanted to fight right about now. Just walking all day was boring.

We got to the edge of a creek and stopped to take rest. I splashed some water in my face to keep myself awake, it was getting dark and soon we'd need to take cover and get some sleep. Our best shot was looking for some kind of cave or if we were lucky an abandoned cabin.

Walking down a dirt path, Miharu was on a hunt for dinner. She hadn't eaten all day and her stomach was growling. She loved fish actually even though she hated water. When she got to her normal area, she saw a man and a kid on the other side of the creek. She wasn't sure if they were bad news or if they were just regular people. They had no Shinobi headbands on, but the one man who did have something over his forehead had a moon on the red plate. That wasn't something from any of the Shinobi villages she knew of. Who were these guys? They didn't look like ninja's either, but both of them had swords and were dressed in a type of cloak.

I knew it was getting dark soon so maybe she should have just waited until they left? But by the look of it they weren't going anywhere. She put her hood back on to hide her face, maybe they wouldn't notice her. She walked a little ways down the creek so they wouldn't spot her since a bunch of tree's were in the way. If they walked up stream they would see her, but staying where they were they wouldn't. So for the meantime she took off her cloak and rolled up her pants to her knee's, getting in the water. When Miharu saw a fish she would try catching it with her bear hands and throw it on the bank. After a bit she caught about 5 fish, she could eat the rest for dinner tomorrow. Getting back on the shore and using her chakra, sending heat waves into her hands, she cooked the fish holding it. Miharu didnt both cutting it up so she just ate a piece with her sharp teeth and spat out the skin. The blood dripped down her lips as she wiped it off and smeared it on her bare arm.

I left to go get firewood while Syaoran set up camp. I was a skilled ninja who knew how to use my sword so I would be fine at cutting wood. I walked up the stream but spotted a woman in the creek catching fish. I stayed hidden behind the tree watching her, I didn't know about this world yet so I had to watch and make sure if she was a threat.
She somehow cooked the fish with her barehands too. Was she a magician just like Fai? I knew it wasn't a good idea to confront her without the magician here to even out the score but I didn't care, he was too cheerful and annoying anyways.
"Hey you." I walked out of my hiding spot and confronted her, she even had a basket of fish. Maybe she would share it with the kid and me. "Are you from around here?"

Miharu was surprised when she heard a voice from behind her. She normally would have smelled him coming but the fact that her steaming fish was being cooked, it overpowered his scent. She turned her head with the dead fish in her mouth and blood trickling down her lip. Grabbing the fish's tail, she ripped it from her mouth, her teeth tearing away the meat and eating it. She spat out a bone, got on her feet, and stood up. It was one of the men from earlier, except it was the adult instead of the kid. He didn't look too old either, maybe his early twenties. She was just surprised though that he found her, or maybe he knew she had been over here all along. Either way it didn't matter since it wasn't guna make much of a difference.
Miharu faced him, even though he was a lot taller then her in comparison. She felt short compared to him.
"My names Miharu Hachiko..." she wondered if it was safe to say her name, she was a murderer after all and this man might have heard rumors about what she could do and was capable of. She'd probably scare him off. But he didn't look like the kind of guy who got scared easily either. Miharu was a bit nervous on the idea of letting him know where she was from too, most people looked down upon her hometown because of all the problems it caused. He looked out of town though, he probably wouldn't even know the place.
"No, I'm not from around here. My home is a ways away. But I know this area well, I come here a lot to fish." She wondered if she gave him and his friend a fish, maybe he would leave. She didn't care to get to know new people, plus he didn't really seem like he came to start a conversation either. So she just asked him straight forward.
"So what do you want? One of my fish? If thats it then just take one and leave. You look like an idiot just standing there saying nothing. If you have something to say then just say it."

(No! >.< Enough with the nicknames!)

I asked her a question and she gave me attitude. Typical for a woman. I didn't get a good vibe from her but if she started a fight with me I'd be thrilled, at least I wouldn't be completely bored just walking around searching for one of Princess Sakura's feather in this world. I started to grab my sword at my side but didn't pull it out, I just wanted her to know it was there in case she started something.
"I wanted to know about this place, I don't want any of your fish, not unless you're offering. "
I heard Syaoran coming, I must have been gone too long and the kid got worried.
"Oh you found someone Kurogane."
"Yeah so what. She's being rude anyways, she's a waste of time."
"I don't think so, maybe she can show us around." Syaoran knelt down on one knee where she sat eating her fish. "Have you seen a feather anywhere nearby? We're looking for one and don't know our way around here. Maybe you could be kind and help us?"
I crossed my arms, the kid had a better way with words then me so it was better to let him do the talking instead. Good luck to him though, she didn't look like the kind of person who was nice to anyone.
"Good luck kid. The chick seems like a witch if you ask me with a wicked tongue."

When Miharu heard him call her a witch, she instantly grabbed her Kusangi blade and held it to his throat. She had a bad temper and anyone who pissed her off usually suffered for it, ticking off Miharu was never a good thing. The boy was nice, but the older man was being rude, and Miharu hated being insulted. "Call me a witch again and I'll beat your face with your own spine!" She put her blade back as a warning and walked over, grabbing her fish and swung the bag over her shoulder about to leave.
"I would've shown you around, but your friend over there ruined your chances." She told the brown head boy and started to walk off. Before she left, she turned around and threw two fishes at them. "That'll make up for it. Good luck with finding your way around." She frowned and walked off.

(Mi-Zilla! Not even Godzilla is as scary as you!)

This girl was something else, she had a bad temper and a bad mouth. She was still just a small girl compared to me she wouldn't stand a chance. I'd wipe the floor with her if I wanted to but I remembered what Princess Tomoyo said. No unnecessary fighting or I'll start to lose my powers and strength. Im an arrogant fighter, but she seems even worse than me. "Hey! I wasn't done talking to you!" I swung her back around with my sword at the ready.
"Kurogane! We didn't come here to fight! She even gave us food!" Typical coming from the kid, he just wanted to get stuff done without causing damage. This girl started it calling me an idiot, if she didn't say that then I wouldn't have said she was a witch.
"You want to start a fight? Just give us the directions and stop being difficult. Or else I'll beat the information out of you!" I was giving her a taste of her own medicine and a hint of mock since I used the same tone of voice and attitude as her in my last sentence.

(Hey! Godzilla is fucking bad ass, he breaths blue fire and crap. XD I'm still not Mi-Zilla! ;_; Jerk.)

Being grabbed in the arm triggered Miharu's anger when she was turned around. She looked at him with cold dead eyes and hatred for trying to start a fight with her and even mocking her. He was pushing his limits and Miharu had a short temper. At least the other kid was trying to tell him to stop but he didn't seem like he was listening. "Bad call..." Miharu twisted her arm around, breaking his hold by snaking her arm back around his. Placing her foot at his elbow, she kicked forward hearing the snapping of his bone as his hand let go of her arm, tearing him off of her. That was a small way to get out of a hold she learned as a kid, it saved her many times when someone had hold of her and tried to kill her for the monster she was. Withdrawing her maroon colored kusangi blade, she began to push chakra into the blade, forcing heat waves into it. "You REALLY don't want to start a fight with me..."

(For now its Mi-zilla unless I come up with something better.)

That look she gave off when she turned around meant she was angry. I already took my chances when I grabbed her. I expected her to act like this since she was mad to begin with. Before I could react she already wrapped her hand around my arm and had me in a hold, then she used her foot and kicked forward. I let go quick enough before she pushed forward, I knew if I wasn't quick enough she would have snapped my arm and broke it. This girl really was bad news, maybe I should have taken Syaoran's advice and lay off. Nah. She deserved this right after she pointed her sword at me. "I was hoping you'd say that." I pulled out my sword swinging it at her giving her the fight she was asking for.
"Kurogane!" Syaoran wasn't going to convince me to stop. He knew not to get in my way, but he knew someone who did. He'd have to go try finding that damned happy-go-lucky magician Fye. This girl was strong just by her powerful kick she displayed, this would be a good fight after all. "Miharu...right? Let's go a round, what'dya say?"

She looked at him as if he was an idiot. He probably didn't realize what he was getting himself into when he was trying to start a fight with her and boy did Miharu fight when she got mad. The boy named Syaoran said his name was Kurogane so that's what she addressed him by. "Say Kurogane...How about we not fight and you just leave me alone? I mean I could fight you but that means I have to lift a finger, and lets face it...I'm a lazy person who could give a rats ass. Unless you really want to go a round...Then sure I guess. But I warn you, I play hard." She smirked and forced more chakra into her kusangi blade as if it was a hot iron or straightener for your hair. She hadn't had a challenge in awhile so maybe she should take up his offer. Then again Syaoran was running to go get help. She didn't like a big crowd, two people to be around was enough for her when it was dinner time. Miharu still hadn't even had a chance to eat her fish yet and she knew she wouldn't be able to fight to her full extent on an empty stomach. Maybe she should just trick him during the fight and flee...

(Where'd you go? You've been gone for months and I haven't even bothered to log on until now.)

I thought about it. Fighting did sound tempting but I decided against it once I heard her stomach growl. It wouldn't be fair I'd I fought her on an empty stomach. It'd give me the upper hand.
"Eat your fish then maybe."
I took a seat on a boulder and starred at Miharu briefly, analyzing her by characteristics. There was steam coming from her drawn blade and the metal was growing a deep red like a a blacksmith's craftwork. It must be some kind of magic she draws from the world that I don't completely understand yet. "Until you're done eating we can chit-chat. I need to wait for the kid to get back anyways." I yawned and ran a hand through my black hair. All this traveling between worlds could wear me out here and there. Maybe a nap would be good. "I'll go ahead and ask since I'm guessing Syaoran or the magician will get to the point, but are there any places nearby to stay for a night? I don't reckon we'll be here long but just to be safe. I could use my sleep like you could use your food.
