Yori's Poems Empty
PostSubject: Yori's Poems   Yori's Poems EmptyMon May 07, 2012 1:24 pm

I discovered some of my old poems from 10th grade. Some of them are silly but hell they still rhyme.

"The Meaning of Life"
“What is the meaning of life,” people would ask.
Some people would express themselves openly,
While others hide in dark shadows behind a mask.
Why do you hide?
Are you afraid to die?
You shouldn’t fear!
Life should be lived everyday!
Not tucked away under the covers!
That’s what most would say.
Some people would rather give it up to escape the pain,
While others would give it up for another’s gain.
So you tell me which is the king,
And which is the horse.
Some people would fill their lives with nice things,
While others would give them away.
When people need a life,
Should we send them away?
Put them through the strife?
After all, they chose their fate.
They could’ve lived a happy life!
Not a sad one filled with hate!
That’s how most would respond.
I guess there is more than one meaning to life.
Everyone seems to think there’s only one,
Only because of their own opinion.
So what is your meaning of life?
Is it happy? Sad? Or do you have a life?
Well just know that no matter what your way,
Your way will always be different from what I say.

This one's a riddle. If you can guess what it is I'll draw something nice for you ^_^

Riddle Me This and Riddle Me That!
Riddle me this,
And riddle me that!
Tell me what this is,
If you can
It has ears,
Which cannot be seen.
Sometimes it has eyes,
Which only gives thee,
A sight so keen.
It always has a mouth,
Big or small.
But either way,
It allows thee,
Entrance through it all.
It protects and imprisons thee,
From the inside.
It also blocks thee path,
And keeps thee outside.
Tell me what this is.
Please tell me,
If you can!

This was supposed to be a weird poem that describes all of the five senses of an object. I had never done one before so this one may suck a bit.

A Flower
It tastes sweet and full of nectar.
It feels smooth like silk.
It sounds like a gentle breeze passing by on a warm sunny day.
It looks as though it’s at peace yet fragile and helpless.
It smells so sweet, fragrant, and clean.

This was more of a ballad than a poem but I say it quallifies. I've been told that it sounded a bit biblical but I'll let you guys be the judge of that. The song that I would use for this song would be this one:

The Ballad of the Evil Queen
There was once an Evil Queen
Who had no heart
And showed no mercy
If one went against her will
That poor soul better hope that
It is quick and clean
Oh!
What a cruel rose she truly was
Just one prick from her deadly thorns
Will not be a pleasant sight to witness
Oh!
What’s left of the villagers’ hope
Now has died
There was once an Evil Queen
Who had no heart
And showed no mercy
Who would get was she would want
Even if the people suffer
She would have her way
Oh!
How selfish she would truly get
To the point when blood would shed
So the villagers cry out to the heavens
Oh!
If you can still hear us, Oh Lord …
Pleas Save Us!

There was once an Evil Queen
Who had no heart
And showed no mercy
Till one day an angel came
To save all the villagers
From her evil reign
Oh!
Praise the Lord! He’s heard our prayers!
And has sent us our Savior!
Not even her army could defeat him
Oh!
The Evil Queen is finally gone!
We Are Saved!
