Good good, we need more young blood in the ranks. I'm sure you're aware that most of the people here got here because they, like your father were chosen because of their more, scientific, talents. Remind me will you, what was it your father did back in 2160?
He wasn't allowed to tell me any of the specifics about the design while he was working on it but he was the head researcher's assistant on the pandora project, ya know, the one to open the portal more often. We were pretty well of for it too, we didn't really need to come here, we could've lived comfortably our whole lives but he always said life there was hollow, that nothing we did would ever matter unless it was to help Terra Nova. Preached it my whole life, gave me a ton of aptitude tests as a kid to see what I was good at. Found out I was a crack shot at 10 and had me trained to be a soldier ever since. He's lived my whole life doing everything he could to get us here, finally got accepted for the 21st pilgrimage, they wouldnt take his boss because the research was so vital to Terra Nova so they took the next best choice as far as skillsets go... glad the old man succeeded, I can finally pay him back for everything he's done for me... I'm adopted ya see when I was 4 my parents died an the old man was my mom's best friend....... Sorry I was rambling but I guess it couldn't hurt since this is a psych eval.
It's fine son the more you talk the more useful the interview. So you said he had you trained, what kind of training are we talking about?
Standard firearms training, first aid, endurance... both physical and mental, after long enough in a holo room your head forgets it's not real, I spent a year out in that jungle, old man figured if you could do it, I damn well better be capable too. Not that I'll ever accept a holo room as a good replacement for the real thing. Don't worry Commander, he didn't forget my schooling either, he figured, since we wouldn't be there forever he spent all that good money he probly shoulda been saving for our continued life in the future on the best private tutors he could find... However... as good as that looks on paper It might be worth noting that I haven't exacly had a lot of experience with people other than my instructors... I, didn't get out much BBut I promise I won't cause any problems here in Terra Nova I'll just have to learn quickly I guess.
