The Demonata

The 21st century was vastly different than my time. I was alive 1600 years ago, it was a long time ago. Being here, alive again was a whole new world. Everyone I knew in my time was long since dead, only one person from my time was still alive. Lucky I was to be reunited with him. I still called him by his former name from when I knew him, Bran. I knew I had a duty to fulfill as my piece of the Kah-Gash, not to let demons take my piece, I was the memory. For now I had to adapt to this century.

A strong aura up ahead, very powerful. I wasn't as skilled of a priestess as I hoped when I learned the ways of Banba, my previous instructor, until I learned from the druid named Drust. Druids often never taught magic to woman as Priestess's never taught magic to men. I was an acception, for in my time not many of us were left and we had to make due, so I was taught under him. Druids believed in the power coming from the stars, the moon, the sky, that was where they summoned their power. Priestess summoned it from the earth, nature, much different were we. From what I have obtained in my time era when I was alive, I drew up power from both earth and sky, a powerful girl was I.
"Someone is coming." Silently I said in the back of my head. I felt this beast like mentality coming, was it a demon? It didn't feel of one, but it had strong power drawing to him from the air. Almost frightened to step forth to investigate, I had to make sure nothing was going to brew from the demonata on these plains.
Cloaking my presence I couldn't simply approach without being cautious. I would let him draw himself out, then make haist from there.

Eyes bewildered by such a thing, how did this man destroy such a strong demon? Was he a king? With such strong power by a human, not even the warriors of my time could amass to destroying such a demon of that caliber. Being in the 21st century, perhaps someone of his strength was known to wander around. I walked up to him, glad that Beranabus was willing to bask a spell over me to translate my language into English for others to understand in this time era.
"Hello..." I hoped he was not harmful. "Are you by any chance a druid?"

"Yes, who else would I be speaking to?" She asked baffled by such a comment spoken by the barbaric like man. He almost looked as tall as Goll in height and size if not larger. Men in my day were very large and strong men, this man seemed like he could far surpass them on any given day. "My name is Bec. I'm a priestess. Who might you be?" I tried being polite on first impression. I realized I was not of this time but needed to adjust. Maybe he could help me adapt.

"Not at all," I retorted as if astonished he'd make such an inquiry. "Not high spirit at all. At least I don't think. To be quite frank, I never knew my birth family. My mother died the day i was born." As sad of a story it was, my memory was precisely perfect, even to the extent I could remember my birth entering this world. "How am I not suppose to see you?" I misunderstood his words, I didn't understand what he meant by not being able to see him. "Are you a druid, by chance?" Almost excited it was possible that there was more magical beings in this century than I thought.

That word was confusing. Shinigami was a word I wasn't familiar with, would he laugh if I asked him what it was? "What is, a shinigami exactly? And spiritual pressure?" I was eager to know what both of these meant. Maybe I could learn from him, unless even he was different from the people of this time. "Kenpachi, where are you from?"

All this was so fascinating. "Actually..." I almost forgot that if I touch a person I absorb memories of them. I could simply touch his hand and merely understand his ways and what he meant by all of this. Unless the question came off as unusual. "May I, touch your face?" I asked, hoping this wouldn't come off as too odd. "I can learn much quicker from you that way."

"Yes." I gave a reassuring smile to let him know it would be much simpler if I got the answers myself rather than him explaining it for a long period of time. Once touching his face I absorbed his memories and learned all I needed to know from him. The information was force fed into my head, I learned more about Soul Society and the Soul reapers that dwelled within it. "An interesting man you are, Kenpachi." I grinned sheepishly. "I too was given a second chance at life, like you. Would that make me a soul reaper as well, I wonder?"

"My name is Bec. i am a priestess. I once lived in a Rath with others. 1600 years ago, that is. I live in the world of humans but demons have crossed over, and it's my job as a priestess to destroy the lodestones to stop them from crossing over. I was sacrificed by my teacher to close one...But instead things went horribly wrong and instead he was sacrificed. At the same time, I was killed by demons and became one with the rock. My soul remained inside that rock for centuries, until a new body was killed in the cave, and I took it without wanting, but now here I am once more, alive." I tried to summarize it as easily as possible in such terms that he would be able to follow without asking too many questions.

"No I don't." I responded and gave a small gesture showing I had no type of knife or any lethal weapon handy on me. "I use magic. Though to be quite honest, I am not highly skilled when it comes to combat."

Not even I knew why I was out here. I suppose it was to look for the rest of my close friends. Grubbs, Kernel, Dervish, Bran, none of them were around here. I was walking alone by myself. "Enjoying the scenary. My home wasn't as sophisticated as it is now. Things changed." I looked around at the lively things, green grass and trees, much more nature and things compared to an open desert like oasis where my rath use to be.
